Monthly Favourites: January and February

Feels like 2017 commenced yesterday and here we are 2 months down already. My last favourites post was a round-up of my favourites from last year, which you can read here. I hauled lavishly during the Black Friday/Holiday season and got a whole lot of new things to try. So here are my favourites from the past 2 months.

Wet n Wild has got to be one of my favourite drugstore brand and currently they seem to be on a roll, releasing one appealing product after another. Though I definitely want to try their entire range, I decided to start by trying out their liquid lipsticks which were raved about by one of my favourite bloggers, Shehrbano on her blog, From The Other Side of Mirror.

tarte Shape Tape Contour Concealer - Review

When tarte released this concealer, it was immediately sold out. Over the course of the next few months, it was restocked but constantly sold out. I tried many times to get hold of it but failed, until a friend's brother travelled to the States and got it for me from Ulta. I think now it is available on the website but if you want it, better to get it sooner than regret later.

Brand Focus: Anastasia Beverly Hills

Lately I have been on an Anastasia Beverly Hills kick and I think quite a bit of my holiday haul consisted of products from this brand. I have loved the brand from the beginning given their high quality products. Plus their Black Friday Sale, this season, was not one to be missed. Huda Beauty Lip Contour Set - Review

Huda Beauty, the Instagram/Youtube makeup guru created waves last year when she released first her Lip Contour Pencils, followed by Liquid Lipsticks and finally an eyeshadow palette. The Liquid Lipsticks were probably the craziest release as they were sold out within minutes. I, initially did not give into the immediate hype (to be honest, you don't have much choice when you are an unemployed blogger with a diminishing bank account). Anywho, when my holiday shopping was complete and I ticked off my wishlist (thanks to all those uncles and aunts who come from abroad and get lots of gifts), I had some spare cash so I decided to get this Lip Contour Set. Not to forget, the shade Famous was my berry dream come true. By this time, the set, which was a holiday special had obviously been sold out and the pages were asking for atrocious amounts for the set and I felt a little deflated. But like they say, agar kisi cheez ko sachay dil say chaho toh poori kainat conspires to get it for you, and I luckily found an independent seller who was selling this for a reasonable price. I immediately placed my order and I received my set soon after.

Hello hello! Been off the radar for ages now thanks to the hectic wedding season which was followed by a terrible viral infection. Nonetheless, finally decided to sit and write down about the products which I discovered and loved using the past year. It feels like I wrote about my last yearly favourites just yesterday.
