Colorpop Lippie Stix - Review

Who doesn't appreciate a good lipstick, and that too at a budget-friendly price? Colourpop Lippiestix have met all these requirements and presented us with great quality, affordable lipsticks in a huge variety of colours and finishes, that is actually becomes hard to choose which one to pick! I picked out 3 matte Lippiestix initially (all those who follow my blog regularly know that I am strictly a matte lip person) and then ordered another one from their Fall 2015 Collection, which is why it is not pictured. So currently I own Brink, I <3 This, LBB and Dazed, all with matte finishes.

Like the name suggests, the Colourpop Lippiestix are white retractable pencils, with coloured bottoms and twist ups. The packaging is minimal yet quirky.

Though the Colourpop Lippiestix come in a variety of finishes from satin to pearly to matte, being a matte lipstick person, I stuck to the mattes only and luckily found a whole lot of beautiful shades. The Colourpop Mattes are not pure matte products as they are slightly creamy, with Brink being the creamiest of them all. They apply on the lips smoothly and are easy to blend and apply on the lips. One swipe gives an opaque finish and layering does not create a mess. Of course I would recommend you to use a lip brush to obtain a flawless finish. The lippiestix are slightly creamy initially, but after some time they become completely matte. The lasting power of the lipsticks varies between 4-6 hours with little eating and drinking. Luckily, the lipsticks don't transfer much once they set.

L-R: Brink, I <3 This, LBB

Brink is a warm-toned nude, with peachy brown undertones.

I <3 This is a deep fuchsia with slightly cooler undertones. LBB is a warm-toned deep berry.

Dazed is a warm-toned deep pink colour with red undertones. It looks reddish in the swatches but appears more pink on the lips as you can see in the swatch below. Unfortunately, I was unable to get good lip swatches of the rest of the shades, and this was the only one showing true to color.

Colourpop Dazed
Colourpop's Lippiestix have certainly won my heart: from the packaging to the formula to the price, these lippiestix are definite must-haves!

Love.
