Tartelette Tease Clay Palette - Review

I've always wanted to try tarte's eyeshadows since I love their blushes but I never got the chance to try them. During the Sephora Spring Sale I came across The Glam Goodies set which was available on Sephora. For $25, you were getting their Tease Palette which retails for $21 alone, as well as a mini Creamy Matte Lip Paint in TBT and their new tartiest Lash Paint Mascara. The deal was superb and I couldn't resist!

To begin with, this palette is adorable! I love the fun size of this. Tarte's tease palette contains only 6 eyeshadows but these are enough for a neutral as well as a soft smokey eye. If you want anything dramatic, then you'll need another palette but for natural and soft looks this palette is brilliant! The palette has 4 matte and 2 shimmer eyeshadows. All the shades are very pigmented and apart from Crush, they all apply smoothly and have little fallout. All of them last pretty much the entire day.

Whisper and Wink are soft, light colours which are great for setting the primer or concealer or just adding a wash of colour to the lids. Whisper is a cream pink colour while Wink is mauve.

First Kiss looks mauvey in the pan but it looks taupe and satiny on the eyelids and even in the swatches as you can see. Crush is described as a taupe shimmer which is true but there is a little bronze in there too. Crush is my favourite shade from this palette although the glitter in it tends to fall slightly.

Heartbreaker is a deep matte chocolate brown which looks lovely and smokey on the outer corners. And lastly, bff is a matte plum which again looks stunning on the outer corners. Crush and bff give me a sultry, smokey eye which is great for summer night outs.

In short this palette is perfect for on the go since a range of eye looks appropriate for the day time/office/university can be created with it. And lets not forget, how cute it looks in your makeup kit! It retails for $21 and can be bought from Sephora or tarte's website.

Love.
