MUA Blushers in Bon Bon and Marshmallow - Review

When I first discovered just4girls, the first order I placed was The Makeup Academy's blush in Bon Bon. And I fell in love with it (and its price tag). After that, I ordered another MUA Blush in Marshmallow. Both the blushes have made it to my favourite blushes (not that I have a list of favourite blushes because blushes are like my favouritest cosmetic item). But still, they are definitely amongst the best blushes that I have purchased.

  • The Makeup Academy says:
Part of our amazing £1 line, our blushers come in six shades. They range from pink and coral to deeper plums and natural nudes so you’ll definitely find one that suits you the most! Although to be honest with you, at £1 there’s no reason why you shouldn’t own all six! Just simply sweep across the apples of the cheek and up to the brow bone to create a soft yet beautiful contour. Gorge!

  • The Makeup Pouch says:
I totally agree with the MUA description: these blushes are definitely drugstore gems!

The blush comes in a simple rectangular – shaped case, which is extremely slim. The bottom of the case is in black and has a transparent cap with MUA printed in silver on top of it. The silver writing fades over time leaving you with a plain cap. The bottom of the case has a sticker which contains the product details and the ingredients. The cap closes with a click. However, the packing is flimsy and is prone to breakage which is why one has to be very careful while handling them. The case has grams of product in it.

For 200 rupees, one cannot expect too much, but oh boy I was wrong! The blushes have amazing pigmentation: one or two swipes of the blush are enough to add some natural color to your face. The product is super smooth, which makes it extremely blendable. However, it does tend to fall out, so its best to tap your brush once before applying the color to your cheeks. The lasting power of the blushes are amazing also; they last for about 4-5 hours on my skin (I have combination skin). The product has not broken me out and it does not highlight any pores.

Bon Bon is a matte coral-y shade which inclines more towards the pinkish side. This color is amazing for daily wear and adds a nice warmth to your face.

Marshmallow is a matte pink shade with purple tinges. This color is perfect for the winters!

I love how MUA has now named its blushes are different confectionery items which makes them extremely tempting.

My 4-year old sister loves following me around when I'm photographing my makeup so
she set this up for me so that I could photography it!
Love.
