Brand Focus: Anastasia Beverly Hills

Lately I have been on an Anastasia Beverly Hills kick and I think quite a bit of my holiday haul consisted of products from this brand. I have loved the brand from the beginning given their high quality products. Plus their Black Friday Sale, this season, was not one to be missed. Presenting to you my Anastasia Beverly Hills collection!

Master Palette by Mario

The Master Palette by Mario was probably one of 2016's hottest releases. This palette features 12 of Kim K's makeup artist, Mario Dedivonic's favourite shades. The palette is every neutral lover's dream come drue since it contains a stunning array of warm shades which are creamy, pigmented and buttery smooth.
Self Made Palette

This eyeshadow palette was a 2015 holiday release and more than 1 year later, I am still in love with it. The palette contains a variety of colours and finishes including the metallic finish. Like the Master Palette, most of the shades are buttery smooth and pigmented.

Both the eyeshadow palettes contain a double-ended brush which is amazing. On one side we have the blending brush, which makes blending eyeshadows a piece of cake and on the other side, we have a eyeshadow applicating brush which is brilliant for applying eyeshadow wet and dry.

Eyeshadow Singles

Like the shadows in the eyeshadow palette, the single eyeshadows are also buttery smooth and pigmented. I have the shades Plum Smoke and Denim Smokey.

Contour Kit

Anastasia Beverly Hills was probably one of the first brands to introduce the contour palette in the market. The palette contains 6 pans which include a setting powder, a banana setting powder, a highlighter, and 3 brown shades. Only one of the shades is an appropriate contour powder because of its cool tones, while the other two are better suited for bronzing or warming up the complexion. Keeping up with the ABH standard, these powders are also smooth and pigmented and blend easily.

Contour Stick

I wanted to try out the Foundation and the Contour Stick given that they were 25% off on Black Friday but after reading mixed reviews on the Foundation Stick, I decided to get the Contour Stick only before to test it out. The sticks are available in a variety of shades for the purposes of foundation, concealer, highlighting and contouring so it was difficult to pick out the perfect contour shade. After much deliberation, I settled on Fawn and thankfully the shade is perfect for my skintone and complexion. Fawn is a grey, taupe which is supposed to be the ideal contour colour for defining the shadows on the face. The Contour Stick is creamy and blends easily with a brush as well as a Beauty Blender. Once set with a contour powder, it lasts almost all day and doesn't appear muddy.

Dip Brow Pomade

The Dip Brow Pomade is one of Anastasia's earliest products and one that revolutionized brows in the makeup industry. The Dip Brow Pomade is a waterproof pomade which defines, sets and fills in the brows. The formula is pigmented and creamy and once set it does not budge. If applied properly, it makes the brows look natural and well-defined. I have used several brow products from different brands but none of them have been able to match up to this. Though its on the pricey side, the small pot will probably last you a lifetime given how little of the product you are to use.

Glow Kit - That Glow

Its pretty evident that I have a weakness for highlighters, so how could I possibly skip this 4-pan palette of pure glow? The Anastasia Glow Kit comes in different shades but since I have a penchant for golds and bronzes, I decided to stick to That Glow which has stunning, warm shades which look beautiful against my complexion.

Illuminator - Starlight

The Illuminator's were 2015's release and as per my knowledge, they are not available on Sephora but they are available on the Anastasia Beverly Hills website. However, the shade Starlight has been discontinued.

Brush #23 - Highlighter Brush

One of my favourite brushes for soft highlighter application! Anastasia's Brush #23 gives a precise highlighter application and the soft bristles allow you to diffuse the pigments for a natural, lit-from-within glow.

All in all, Anastasia Beverly Hills is a brilliant brand and I would definitely recommend you try something from it.

Love.
