An eyeliner is one of those products which changes the way your face looks and gel eyeliners are one of those products which have taken the makeup world by storm. In my search for a good eyeliner in the drugstore, the Maybelline Gel Eyeliner got the most votes. Does the Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner live up to its hype? Read on to find out!
The Maybelline Gel Eyeliner comes in a simple plastic pot with a black screw on lid. An eyeliner brush is provided with it, and I am happy to say that the brush is not entirely useless and I have used it plenty of times to line my eyes. But these days, I am loving the Essence Angled Liner Brush to apply this.
This gel eyeliner is deep black, the right amount of creamy and non-smudgeable which makes it a definitive winner. The eye liner applies smoothly and is pigmented enough that one swipe is only needed to line one eye. The lasting power of the eye liner is brilliant too as it stays put till I take it off with a good makeup remover, as a normal facewash does not remove it completely. Maybelline claims that it lasts for upto 36 hours, but I am not one of those people who can live without sleep for that long :P, so I haven't really tested this claim. On the waterline, the eyeliner also stays for a good 8 hours before fading completely.
