Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay in Place Makeup - Review

Hi everyone. So I've been a little off the radar recently because I have been suffering from a bad case of writer's block, but now I seem to be getting over that, so hopefully will be posting more frequently now. Anyways, coming back to the product in the spotlight: the Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay in Place Makeup. Lately, I've been on a foundation kick and I have been grabbing every chance to try out a new foundation. I've always heard amazing things about this Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation and during the Sephora Spring Sale, I ordered this. I have been using this foundation for a few months now - in the hot, humid summer as well as in the cooler months.

Monthly Favourites - October & November

Can't believe its December already. This year literally flew by and now we are progressing into 2017. Been quite a ride I must say but let's leave that for another blogpost. December is one of my favourite months because the cooler weather means that the makeup stays intact. Plus, the winter palette is more glam than the Spring/Summer palettes. And not to forget, it is the season of weddings, festivities and family get-togethers which means that I can dress up to my heart's content! Lets move onto my favourites for the past 2 months.

Kylie Lipkit in Kristen - Review

I'm probably the last person to finally get hold of the Kylie Lipkits. The Kardashians/Jenners are some of the most popular people in the world and when Kylie Jenner released her own line of makeup, the world naturally was ecstatic and every time she launched a product, it would be sold out within seconds. The initial colours did not attract me very much so I happily gave them a pass, given how costly these are. If you guys regularly follow by blog and Instagram, you would know that I am weak where berry/pink lip colours are concerned and lighter shades don't really appeal to me. Kristen seemed like my ideal colour and although I tried very hard not to give into the temptation, I somehow ended up ordering it and the rest, like they say, is history!

Inglot Lip Pencil/Crayon in 22 - Review

Nothing like a lipstick to brighten up your day! Recently, when Inglot was having one of their sales, I casually walked into the store intending to buy their infamous Duraline, but that was unfortunately out of stock which led me to casually browse the products in case there was something I might want. In any case, you can't really walk out of a makeup store empty-handed. This was when I spotted these new releases by Inglot; their lip crayons which are really really matte. And ofcourse, the minute I tried it, I realized that this was what I was looking for all my life and ofcourse walked out of the store with a small, red Inglot bag feelings very satisfied with myself.

Brand Focus: Wet n Wild

Wet n Wild is one of my favouritest brands ever because their products are not only amazing but they are super affordable also. Recently, Wet n Wild has upped their game even more and have started introducing products which give their high-end counterparts a run for their money. The other day when I was going through my stash, I realized that I did indeed have a lot of products from Wet n Wild, so I decided to do a brand focus post on this brand so that I could introduce all my readers to this brilliant brand.

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Ginger - Review

I am a NARS person! I love the brand. Their products and packaging scream class and elegance which is why I am attracted to this brand. Moreso, all products that I have tried from the brand have been hits which is why the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer was on my radar for a long time. Plus it is a cult classic.

However, the product didn't blow me away the way I thought it would. While it does a good job at covering my dark circles without an orange corrector, it didn't give my undereye the look I wanted, even with a setting powder. I'm not sure if it was the shade or undertone more than the formula but I felt that it didn't quite live up to my expectations. The formula is creamy and blends easily but is not pigmented enough. It looks good for the first 6 to 8 hours, but after that, it begins to crease and settle into the fine lines.

Considering my eyes are deep-set and I have strong dark circles, thanks to all the late nights, I really need to work on my undereye to look bright and awake. However, this product, unfortunately, did not do that for me and I prefer my MAC Prolongwear Concealer over this.

The Nars Creamy Concealers comes in a typical rectangular tube with a doe foot applicator.

I was very excited about getting this concealer but sadly the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer and I haven't gelled very well. It is quite possible that it's just me because everyone continues to rave about it. Nonetheless, I wouldn't be repurchasing it and I would suggest everyone to try it out at their own risk (and money).

Love.

Monthly Favourites - August & September

Can't believe its October already! The way the months are flying by is a little overwhelming, if not scary at the same time. But I'm looking forward to the Fall and Winter season because the summers here in Pakistan have been long and tough. Anywho, rounded up a list of my most used products from the past few months. These products have also been my most used at all the countless weddings I have attended in the past few weeks.

Favourite Highlighters

I confess that I have become a highlighter junkie! I really can't help myself when I see a new highlighter because I need then to get the 100-watt glow which I absolutely love. Many people have asked me time and time again about my favourite highlighter so I decided to write on my top 3 highlighters without which I cannot live!

Smashbox Step-By-Step Contour Kit - Review

Contouring has gained immense popularity in recent years (thank you Kim Kardashian :p). While everyone thinks that contouring is a great way to achieve a slimmer face, it is necessary that you do it right else you can end up looking extremely muddy. I've tried my fair share of contouring products and some have been better than others. Smashbox's Contour Kit was the latest one to make it to my Makeup Pouch and I have been enjoying using it.

Loreal Infallible Pro Matte in True Beige - Review

Foundations are my latest obsession and I've been trying out new ones lately. The latest one to be part of my vanity is the Loreal Infallible Pro Matte which had to be ordered sooner or later given the raving reviews I had read on this. To be very honest, I am very glad that the foundation was as good as I expected, if not better.

the Balm Meet Matt(e) Hughes in Trustworthy - Review

This is definitely the year of liquid lipsticks given that this is the third review I am writing on a liquid lipstick in the past 2 months. You can read the previous reviews here and here. The Balm is definitely one of my favourite brands given their superb quality and quirky packaging so their liquid lipsticks were definitely on my wishlist since long. It was difficult to choose from the colours but I wanted a nice brown, so I chose Trustworthy which is a new release.

Tartelette Tease Clay Palette - Review

I've always wanted to try tarte's eyeshadows since I love their blushes but I never got the chance to try them. During the Sephora Spring Sale I came across The Glam Goodies set which was available on Sephora. For $25, you were getting their Tease Palette which retails for $21 alone, as well as a mini Creamy Matte Lip Paint in TBT and their new tartiest Lash Paint Mascara. The deal was superb and I couldn't resist!

Lorac Light Source Illuminating Highlighter in Daylight - Review

There is no end to a makeup addict's highlighter obsession and I am no exception. When I saw Lorac's latest highlighters on Kathleen Light's Instagram, I knew that I needed to get at least one of these. Choosing a single shade is a feat in its own and there were not many swatches available online but I finally settled on Daylight which seemed like a nice light gold. After much patience, I finally got hold of this and I couldn't be happier!

Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Berlin - Review

Lolita was definitely Kat Von D's claim to fame as far as their liquid lipsticks are concerned, but after trying my friend's Lolita, I decided that the shade was a little too dark for me. Nonetheless, I still wanted a Kat Von D Liquid Lipstick in my collection because of their formula which is supposed to be one of the best.

Clinique Cheek Pop in Ginger Pop - Review

All those who know me know that I am a blush and highlighter person. But my blush obsession always takes the crown because none of my hauls are complete without a blush(or blushes). For the longest time, I thought that the Clinique Cheek Pops are cream blushes and hence I stayed away from them because I am not really a big fan of those, but when I discovered that they are powder, and after looking at all the swatches, it took a lot of strength not to order them all. After much deliberation I settled on Ginger Pop, because I wanted a subtle orange-coral and Ginger Pop seemed a lot like the colour I had in mind.

What's in my Travel Makeup Pouch?

All those who follow me on Instagram must know that I recently went on a vacation to the beautiful Hunza Valley in Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan! The trip was, needless to say amazing, and a wonderful break from the horrible heat and bustling life of Lahore. Anyways, coming back to what makeup I took with me. Although, I wished to carry my entire collection with me, that was obviously not a feasible option so I had to limit myself to one or two things from each category.

Ofra Liquid Lipstick in Santa Ana - Review

No amount of lipsticks can satisfy a makeup addict and with new lipsticks launching every week it is impossible to resist them. In my quest to find the perfect pink-red plum lip colour, I stumbled upon Santa Ana on Makeup4u's page. It looked close to what I wanted so I immediately placed an order for it.

Makeup these days is all about flawless and glowing skin. Ofcourse flawless skin comes from eating properly and remaining hydrated, but the cherry on top will be the foundation which perfectly matches your skin colour, undertone and type perfectly. Makeup Forever's HD Foundation has been a favourite for years and recently they changed their formula and introduced the Ultra HD in the market. I never got a chance to experiment with the original version but the Ultra HD Foundation has quickly become a favourite!

Its that time again when I sit back and decide which products have been my favourites the past few weeks. Though I do love all my makeup, there are some which shine through!

Nars Blush in Orgasm - Review

Nars Blushes are notorious in the world of makeup. And Orgasm particularly is a cult-favourite. It is loved and coveted by all for being a universally flattering shade, designed to suit all complexions. I was a bit skeptical about purchasing this because I had read at a few places that this does not show well on deeper complexions. But my wish was fulfilled when I got a free mini with my Nars order. (I love it when companies are generous in giving away minis and samples.)

Lorac Pro has been part of my Makeup Pouch for a very long time and lately I have started using this palette again for simple everyday eye makeup so I thought that I might as well write a review on it.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in Ebony - Review

Well-defined and thick brows was probably one of the most popular beauty trends of 2015. I was oblivious to the concept of filling in my brows till last year and I experimented with a few drugstore kits before jumping onto the bandwagon and getting hold of the mother of all eyebrow kits: the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow Pomade.

Urban Decay Afterglow Blush in Rapture - Review

From the moment I set my eyes on the Urban Decay Afterglow Blush in Rapture, I knew I had to get my hands on this beautiful blush! I had heard only positive reviews on these blushes so my expectations were pretty high. Read on for an in depth review.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Illuminator in Starlight - Review

Ain't no makeup complete without a highlighter to make your face glow like a 100-watt bulb! In short, its all about the glow these days. With every brand releasing their own highlighters, it was really difficult to choose between then. I was particularly excited that the founder of contour kits, Anastasia Beverly Hills were coming up with their own version of highlighters! At first they were to be Limited Edition, but later on they became permanent! There were four variations to choose from and after a long debate between Riviera and Starlight, I settled on Starlight because I didn't have anything similar to this in my collection. Read on to find out whether they were worth it or not.

Nars Audacious Lipstick in Vera - Review

All those who know me also know that I am a huge Nars fan! Something about the packaging and products scream so much class and elegance that I cannot stop myself from being drawn to them. This year I splurged (read broke my bank) on two products from Nars: the Audacious Lipstick in Vera and One Shocking Moment Cheek Palette from their Steven Klein Holiday collection. Vera was more of an impulse buy since I was trying to add something to my cart in order to get free shipping at Sephora and after spending a few sleepless nights obsessing over whether to get Vera or Audrey, I decided on Vera (although I do plan on getting Audrey later- Hehehe). Anyways, without further ado I present to you Vera!

Top 15 of 2015!

2015 was the year of makeup for me! I splurged and bought more things than I could ever use. But at the same time I did part with some of my unused makeup and things which I had grown out of. Of course there are somethings which I used (and maybe loved) more than others and here's my top 15 picks from the year 2015!
